Description: |
NEVER HEARD OF A BRENDERUP? I HAD NOT! IT IS THE CADILLAC/LEXUS OF TRAILERS!
I AM ASKING $7,000 OR BEST OFFER,
This is a 2005 Apollo BrenderUp 2 horse trailer. Stall dimensions are 2'8" wide, from butt bar to breast bar the length is 6'3"; height is 7'5". It has extras of padded breast and butt bars. It also has offset bars in case you need to haul a bigger horse or a mare and a foal. These are not in the pics but pics may be added later. If you want a dressing room or tack area or need more than a 2 horse, go to another ad,this is a trailer built for up to two horses and ease of use for owners but more importantly comfort of horses.
I just finished a trip to OH--17 hours and one horse with bad arthritis got out of the trailer as if she had been standing in the pasture all day. I was terribly worried about how she would make the trip but she did fine. The trailer worked like a dream. Groom door does work as I used it multiple times but needs slight finesse.
It has its own braking system so if you have to put on the brakes of your SUV--the horses are not jarred.
The horses are balanced over the wheels and do not fatigue. If it is hot, the temperature is 20 degrees cooler inside. If it is cold, it stays warmer than the outside.
Did I say SUV, did I say save on gas mileage? You can pull this trailer with an SUV, I pull it with my Toyota Venza. On my way to OH with two horses I went from 23.5miles per gallon to 21 miles per gallon. I had never pulled any horse trailer. The first time I pulled it I forgot I was pulling a trailer. Those with more experience, say they have never driven a nicer trailer in terms of how it handles. Did I mention, it is so light, I can move it by myself. The tongue weight is only 6% as opposed to 12% for most trailers.
The trailer has some minor missing knobs and as I mentioned the groom door has to be finessed. A handy person could fix all that is wrong, although it never effected the ease of pull, load or the function of the trailer. I am trying to get a NC trailer license. I do have a notarized letter from the Bank saying I own it. It depends on your state's requirements.
I bought the most expensive BrenderUp they had in 2005 as none of their trailers had enough stall space and I had a long horse. The stall spaces are long. These were 10 inches longer than all of the other BrenderUps. This trailer allows you to change height of both breast and butt bars. It also allows you to take out center pole so you can use the whole trailer to haul. Brenderups were built for thorough breeds and so there is plenty of height and width unless you are wanting to hull a draft horse than you will need off set bars--which come with the trailer.
Why the front ramp? You can off load from the front ramp on the right side. I do not use it for that purpose but it is great for horses that are claustrophobic which mine was. It used to take me 30 minutes to get her in a trailer. Now, I open the front ramp and she walks right in. IF YOU KNEW MY HORSE, YOU WOULD KNOW IT WAS A MIRACLE! Why am I selling, because I need to. If I ever need to get another trailer--I would only get a BrenderUp and if Baby is still with me, it will be an Apollo. I have only recommended BrenderUps to my friends. If you can afford it they are worth every penny.
