Horse Training Program

Marlene has developed a complete program for improving horses to their maximum potential through proper horsemanship, nutrition, care, conditioning and training. She specializes in barrel horses and pole bending horses, which allows her to concentrate specifically on each horse and rider needs. Your horse gets the same program as Marlene's personally owned horses so you will see the improvement just as you see Marlene and her horses being successful at the pro level.

"With our home on the Lone Tree Ranch in Colorado we have the facilities for training and tuning horses correctly. Our program works especially well when the owner/rider can spend a day with us after their horses training is complete. This allows us to communicate directly the changes we feel are necessary to promote success in the future between the horse and the rider." - Marlene McRae

Doug is now taking in for training calf roping horses. He feels he is at the point in his life where slowing down in competing and spending more time making young horses more to his liking. His methods are not the ram-and-jam that many force on to a horse. He takes the time to let the horse relax and enjoy the entire learning experience. What you will get at the completion of your horses training is a willing, comfortable horse that is easy to ride, rope on and win!

Doug states, "When you love what you do it is easy to be good at it."

"We train what we ride and we ride what we train." Doug & Marlene also take in a limited number of horses to enroll in their complete training program. If you would like to improve your horses performance, and you would like to learn more, please call 719-541-2861.
